Teaching and learning - Over the past decades two remarkable ideas about teaching have become quite influential in educational circles. One is the idea that teaching is outdated – the phrase that is often used is that of ‘traditional teaching’ – and that in education we should focus on students and their learning rather than on teachers and their teaching.
