1 (100%) I have two MAS Defense barrels. One came with a complete upper that I purchased from them last Black Friday for $204 shipped. It's a 16" 1/8 twist carbine length melonite barrel. The gas block and tube are generic, the hand guard is junk, but the upper is from Cerro Forge.5/8 x 24 TPI. Stainless Steel - Melonite Nitride Treated. Four Top Ports control muzzle rise. I will say that the higher tier upper that I have is a lot lighter, and that is partly due to the handguard as it is not really a one size fits all handguard like the MAS defense one is. Does anyone have info, reviews or horror stories about mas defense? They seem like a smaller company so I can't find many reviews on them good or bad and their YouTube presence is limited. But I see they offer their uppers with upgraded aero parts and they all typically come with ballistic advantage barrels so I'm thinking for $300 why not? Basically, the way I got them is how I will review them.
