2024 Marlin 39a firing pin

Especially on a rifle as old as yours is. One of my 60's had light strikes, and a new hammer spring cured it. Put the old firing pin back in and check the amount it protrudes from the bolt face when it is fully forward. It should protrude .034 - .037 away from the face of the bolt.. As I now own 2 pre 1974 Marlin 39A, I am looking to buy a firing pin or 2 to add to my spare parts bin. Brownells list a pin, but it says post 1974, and the photo shows a difference at the business end with the size of the cut-outs. Marlin Spares in the UK only show a post 1974 pin as well. So who do I contact to order a firing pin for before 1974?Then remove the pin and clean It and study how it travels in the bolt raceway and what stops it. Make sure the hammer isn't hitting the receiver on either side. Then if you are still getting poor strikes and ftf,you can file the pin to reshape the tip area,or the stop lug, don't change the overall length. The firing pin floats in the bolt and depending on how clean the channel is that the pin rides in it will sometimes keep the firing pin from moving freely.
