Details: 1) 2012 JD X310 bought in Jan/2016 from first owner - in great shape - with ~140 hours. 2) I got carried away while power washing it a couple months ago (using Krud Kutter multi-purpose pressure washer concentrate).Loong time ago I worked as mechanic for a Columbia, John Deere, Ski Doo, Suzuki, dealer. Only NGK and Nippon Denso used to survive on high performance engine, Champion and Bosch were real junk. But I saw many small engine without any problem with Champion. A couple online Deere parts stores sell the Deere/NGK plug and show “standard gap .025” in description. It looks like your jumper to 12 volts is done correctly -- so if the other terminal of the coil is getting switched up and down it should provide spark. The... Jun 8, 2014 · 1. Jun 8, 2014 / John Deere 318 no spark. #1. Ran the week prior. Does surge (rpm ramp up and down) when running. Wouldn't fire this weekend. Tried starting fluid but still no firing. Checked both spark plugs for spark....nothing. motor is Onan B43G (year 1983). Looking for a list of diagnostics with details for each. The OMM87709 B5 Operator's Manual for the 316 Onan, the 318 and the 420 (and which was published prior to 1986) lists the plugs as Deere part number AM38622, or NGK BPR5EFS, or Motorcraft AGRF32. The gap is specified to be 0.025 inches and the seating torque is 15 ft-lbs. All of these specifications were common for ….
