If I Google the FIOS problem with FFXIV, Square Enix blames two things: AlterNet or Verizon categorizing FFXIV data as P2P. So I did a traceroute to various FFXIV servers according to arrstatus. During prime time, the traceroutes did not indicate any problems with the Verizon hops or the AlterNet hops. They indicated a problem with AS6543's hops.. Dillards clearance center in houston
It's FFXIV, not my internet. I’ve also been having this issue over the past few weeks, rubberbanding and teleporting players, also sometimes a bit of lag when clicking on items or chests. It’s very weird lag spikes that feel like packet loss, although I never seem to get disconnected, and my ping is stable at 50 ish. Probably the ISP you use passes through a really bad node nearby the game server and they haven't bothered to reroute the traffic. Calling your ISP to reroute and/or using a VPN (Mudfish looks shady but it's cheap and easy nowadays) is what you can do for now. 7. AriaNevicate. Click on Device Manager.
