2024 Bg3 ranged bard build

A melee bard with a one handed strength weapon (battle axe, flail, sword, morning star) and a shield. I'm sure there are great scimitars, short swords, and rapiers (ugh) around but I'm tired of them. Plus, if it comes right down to it, I might need to leave them for companions. Problem #1 I don't like valor bards. Lore and swords are great though.. Is the sacred relic sword good
